I am slightly ashamed to admit that I have only seen two of these films. After reading this article, (and viewing the posters) I have a legitimate interest in seeing almost all of them. I have no idea what makes a good movie poster, but it is interesting to me that none of these are splashing a 'star' in your face to make you spend money on the film (with the possible exception of 'rosemary'). Any movie poster I see on a Friday night at the theater is selling the actor, and not the film. These seem to do the exact opposite. The shocking thing is, it works, even on the not-so-educated film goer like myself!
